Unfortunately Palin is now in the gutter with McCain
Total Votes: 51
With his political back against the wall, McCain orders Palin to play the "race" Card. One more bad judgment that will backfire and punch another hole in McCain's erratic dance card.
Let's Go to Palin's words
"Our opponent ... is someone who sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect, imperfect enough, that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country,"
She has also said:
"This is not a man who sees America like you and I see America,"
We know code when we hear it. The implication is you know you can't trust "these people" (my opponent) they don't love America like we do. They might even attack it. In this clip note that Obama is talking about my number one issue Health Care and McCain/Palin has exchanged the word Willie Horton for the word "Terrorist". Palin just like in Orwell's 1984, She is trying to feed the American people two minutes of hate.
Obama points out, in a nice way, that McCain's folks say they are turning the page on the economy that the Bush/McCain forty thieves ran into the ground. Instead they will be working on fear and hate through the politics of personal destruction.
When Biden tied McCain to Bush she accused him of "focusing on the past", this naturally is bad depending on who's ox gets gored. So much for Palin's integrity and her Cultural Health.
McCain now feeling cornered like a boxer who survived a knock out blow, is on his feet, but has reverted to his original fighting style. Pay close attention in this final round, will the real McCain consume the "good" McCain.

Bravo, Aunk!
I think the McCain Campaign is hoping Caucasians will not "get" the code. Well guess what? I am a 50-yr-old white woman who spent the first 40 years growing up and raising a family in rural America. Even I get it! Only those who enjoy their bigotry will voluntarily refuse to acknowledge it. I see through the disgusting ploy and I hope the majority of us will speak out and say ENOUGH! Don't make this country a victim of bigotry. Let a love for this country TRUMP the McCain-Palin race card.
Just because you want it to be racism does not make it racism. There is no code.
She sees america as the greatest country in the world. She is trying to tie Obama with a man who has showed no remorse for being part of a group that killed cops (after his time but still the same group) and bombed the pentagon. A man who was photographed standing on a flag only a few years ago. A man who only wished he could have done more. A man who's book Obama praised. She is trying tie Obama with someone who hates america (as shown by his actions against the country).
Nothing to do with race. Just pointing out bad judgement of who Obama kept in his company. Ayers was more than "just a guy in his neighborhood"
Character assaination is not going to work against Obama, so they are stupid for trying but attacking the man's charachter and assocations is not racism. Its politics as usual...
This from a woman who's MARRIED to a man who was a member of a secessionist party which spouted vitriolic hatred about America, the Constitution and the Flag? A group which has no objection to associating with the League of the South a neo-Confederate group that promotes the Confederate flag and still seeks an independent Southern republic? This from a woman who brags about being "prayed over" by a man who engages in the persecution of women and excuses it by calling it fighting witchcraft? This from a woman who's church supports the anti-Semitic Jews for Jesus movement? Please.
When she says Obama doesn't see America as "you and I" do, who's the "You and I?" Alaskans? Women? With scum like Bobby Lee May in McCain-Palin's corner, I think we all see who "You and I" isn't.
Why does every argument about Obama turn into an argument about someone else? I have my problems with McCain, Palin, Biden, hell most of Washington pisses me off.
I and the article was talking about OBAMA. Please explain how him serving with Ayers on education boards, having a fund raiser in the man's house, praising his book is OK. Please tell me that this country is not so far gone than accepting an unrepentant domestic terrorists support does not matter any more. Plain is a whole other discussion... lets actually talk about Obama and no one else for this discussion.
The "you and I" are the Republicans at the rally and the conservatives in this country. The people that think having domestic terrorists support is a bad thing. its not about race. why is every criticism about Obama become a race issue? I don't care that the man is black. hell he could be purple for all I care. His associations and judgment are horrible and that needs to be discussed in its own right. We can talk about everyone else later (because i have just as many issues with them) but people need to take a look at where Obama came from and who he has associated with. Its not racism.
unless i read your title wrong... the word race is right in it quotes or not. What do you mean when you talk about codes and "you people". those are generally race related discussion hot points.
what did i miss?
Actually UDbmas brought it up, I just responded to that post. That post talked of bigotry. So no i didn't bring it up first. Actually you did because your post is about racism. You may believe that we are one race but your post is full of attacks on palin for talking about race when she never did.
Apparently, I am not versed in Cultural Health Language (which I couldn't find in any search... so it is something you made up?) Your article is all vague with a lot of language the in the real world associates with racism. But since you don't come right out and say it you can look down on me for pointing it out (again just responding to a post that also apparently misunderstood).
It would be nice if we all were past this notion of race (like you think you are) but unfortuately its alive and well and if you want to look down on it while ignoring the fact that you are talking about it, then be my guest.
The Republican ruling class has already written off '08 and is starting to position Palin for 2112. All I can say is please, please, please nominate her in 2112.
Dang, if I am still here in 2112, I might even be senile enough by then to vote for her.
;-)
If anything it will be Romney / Clinton (hillary) in 2012. Now that will be an interesting election. Palin will fade as a spokeperson for the GOP after this is all done...
And what about McCain and the Stars and Bars in 2000?

Check this article I seeded the other day.
Why is it if you don't agree then it's racism. Do you see hidden meaning in everything people say? This whole article is way off track, and just a way for you to throw out the race card. This whole thing has set back race relations 50 years with these kind of crap articles. McCain is not Bush. Bush isn't running, and you all need to get a life. Wake up! Obama has so many shady people in his life you need a semi to haul them all away. How many people do you think he owes favors to now. If he put's into effect what he wants to do we will be another Trillon in debt!If this man gets elected we won't have a ression we'll have a depression. If you know anything about the ecomony you would know this.Him and his buddies in Congress let this happen on wall street. McCain tried to get a bill passed almost 3 years ago to stop it,and Franks said oh no we don't need to do that. Pelosi,Reed,Franks, and Obama were the cause of all this. All Dem's. Right now Obama has given over $800,000 of his campaign to ACORN which is under investigation for voter fraud, and pushing Fannie mae to give out more loans to people who couldn't afford them. Obama's campaign is under investigation on taking foreign money for his campaign. This is not someone I want running this country. If your going to vote you really need to get yourself informed. I'm a Dem, but I won't be voting the party line.
I wonder how the over 60 generation feels when they hear that the under 30-something generations do not consider race of a candidate an issue? As the marketing economy shifts from the Lawrence Welk crowd to the Hippy Generation on its way to Generations X, Y and below as the dominant economic buying powers. Meanwhile, as the racial geography inevitably moves toward ethic diversity majority with Caucasians becoming a minority in the not so distant future. As racism thinking itself becomes a minority segment of our population, doomed to a bad historical reference. Do these inflexiable relics of a past ignorance have one last gasp of intollerant sediment to bestow upon a nation before they gently slip into irrelevance? I wonder if the guilt of their prejudicial sins, will follow them to their grave as the greatest mistake of the greatest generation...
