A Republican has come out with a tell-all book called How to Rig an Election: Confessions of a Republican Operative. In addition to the phone-jamming scheme, Raymond details other Republican tactics such as the use of scripted, phony automated phone messages to try to play on white voters' racial prejudices in a 2000
Call me hard on crime, but I think the punishment for election fraud should be a bit more than 3 months in jail....say something like, the only legal use of the death penalty, all assets seized and your descendants have to wear a tattoo on their foreheads for 3 generations (Ok, maybe not the last part).
Hetep and Respect, I would include your last part and add that they would not be permitted to vote or be involved in any way with politics.
If that were the standard most of the past and present cogs of the political machinery in such bastions of Democracy (and I use the captialization purposely) as Baltimore, Philadelphia and Detroit would be long since dead.
Bill
As far as I'm concerned this is not a partisan issue. So, getting corrupt people of Democratic strongholds is just as important to me as removing the GOP corruption.
I'm a bit of a zealot about the importance of fair elections and counting all votes.
When I saw McCain making his acceptance speech with around 30% of the votes in, it really annoyed me. Why couldn't he just say "Let's count all the votes first before anyone declares themselves a winner or concedes defeat." And I lost all respect for Gore (he's won some of my respect back since) when in 2000 he conceded rather than saying "the voters come first, we need to make sure everyone was counted in the manner prescribed by their respective election laws." Personally, I don't think any candidate deserves the opportunity to serve if he or she, accepts or concedes before all the votes are in unless their is no possible way the rest of the votes could change the outcome.
apparently to bill rigging the election for the most powerful post in the world is ok as..
"the dems do it too"
mighty great morals you have there bill.
We really need to reliase that not every single solitary thing is a partisan issue, even things that are embarrassing that happen to be concernign the party you adore.
Earmarks suck.. both parties do it.
voter fraud sucks.. both parties do it.
lobbiest suck, both partiies take their money.
corruption sucks, both parties are full of corrupt people.
Partisanship for the sole sake of partisanship sucks, and both parties do it.
Now that we have that settled, can you atleast agree Bill that jamming the dem phone lines was bad?
Joules
In defense of Bill, he can be a really nice guy if you get on his good side.
Hetep and Respect Folks, you guys are funny but on point.

We must never forget 2000 and the criminal Republican attack on 1,000,000 African American and Latino American Voters.
If there was ever an election, in the history of America, to Keep Your cultural radar on, this is the one.
What exactly does this seed have to do with Kucinich or Obama? Did you just publish this to every group you are a member of?
Hetep and Respect Jay Butler, did I publish to a group where their are no voters?
Bush and the AA attacking, anti-humanist are still out there. This Republican has dropped a dime on Republican criminal activity. The Bush computerized voting machines with no paper trail are still out there.
This is just a reminder that we should not be foolishly optimistic about change. Are Kucinich and Ron Paul really doing as poorly at the MSM are reporting. Remember the MSM is 36th in the word for honest reporting.
What is going to happen to Black voters as we move to the south and police are stationed out side of Black voting booths by the anti-humanists.
Some times anti-humanist Republicans have information that humanist should pay attention to.
Poor reasoning Aunk. There are voters in every group on Newsvine. Why not publish to every group?
The two groups to which you chose to publish this are focused on somewhat narrow subject areas. They are not meant as a catch-all for anything related to elections. They are specifically for stories relating to Obama and Kucinich's campaigns for the presidency. This does not even come close to either.

You are a master at twisting your answer to fit your agenda in a way that bears no relevance to the direct questions I asked.
Hetep and Respect Mr. Butler, I am sorry, it is certainly my fault that my answer did not come out as clear as I intended it.
You are a master at twisting your answer to fit your agenda in a way that bears no relevance to the direct questions I asked.
My agenda is the improvement of cultural health for myself and my fellows. To see how Obama and Cultural Health are related Click Here
What is your agenda?
Let me again answer your direct questions, in a more formal manor, so that your questions and my answers are clear to all our readers.
1. What exactly does this seed have to do with Kucinich or Obama?
Answer: How to Rig an Election: is timely important political information affecting all politicians and the people who vote for them. This information is important to me a democratic voter who might vote for either of the two Democratic politicians known as Kucinich and Obama. I thought other voters (especially my readers) might also find this information of value.
Mr. Butler are you a democrat?
2. Why not publish to every group?
Answer: There are voters in all groups but I do not belong to all groups. I only seeded to groups that I belong to and have a right to publish in.
Your other comments are not direct questions but rather a statement that sets forth your opinion as to the purpose of the groups that I belong to. Are you a fellow member in my Kucinich and Obama groups?
I am in the Kucinich group.
If this seed is not relevant enough to have a Kucinich or Obama tag, it should not be published to those groups. Not every group with voters is meant for every story about anything vaguely related to the election or the voting process.
Those two groups narrowly focus on the campaigns of individual candidates. Publishing to the 'Election News' group is appropriate. But, publishing to groups focused on single candidates is not unless the seed specifically mentions or otherwise references their campaign specifically.
That shotgun publishing technique does nothing to strengthen Newsvine. It is a desperate measure for page hits. As such, I believe that it violates CoH #2 and maybe #6.
Your other comments are not direct questions but rather a statement that sets forth your opinion as to the purpose of the groups that I belong to
Very funny. Not my opinion.
The stated purpose of the ObamaVine: "A place to discuss, debate and hopefully shape the candidacy of Barack Obama for President of the United States."
And of 2008: Dennis Kucinich: "A group for all those that support the one true progressive candidate for President. We encourage you to join and become active members in the quest to get Kucinich elected and America saved!"
Mr. Butler are you a democrat?
Finally, I am not sure how this is relevant. But, to humor you, the answer is no.
Good seed Aunk. :)
It's important for us to remember that the media lies and that there are underhanded tactics that may be at work. It's no longer reactionary thinking when a seed like this is discovered. Quite frankly, I was appalled.
To see that something like this really did happen, while I do not consider myself very naive, is another cog in my anti-conscience toward government.
For the record, I understand precisely why you posted it to the groups you posted it to. Take care. Keep up the good finds.
Hetep and Respect Digits, tnx, I knew there was someone out there with their thinking cap on.
